As one of the only Inventeams without seniors last year, we are all still blessed to be together. The 2015-2016 agenda is a busy one to say the least. Without the Lemelson-MIT program to steer us, the fate of our device is up to us. Weekly meetings have been less frequent, considering everyone's busy schedules so that makes our time together all the more valuable.

Our most recent and very generous donor VWR recently sat down for a presentation from the Concord Inventeam.

Thank you VWR for supporting us and letting us show you what we are all about.
If all goes well this year we hope to see a refined/simplified device along with functionality improvements, a patent, and ultimately application.
<![CDATA[Eureka! The Three Day Celebration and Showcase]]>Fri, 26 Jun 2015 06:10:40 GMThttp://concordinventeam.weebly.com/blog/eureka-the-three-day-celebration-and-showcase
After preparing for months and months, it is hard to believe EurekaFest 2015 is already over. It was truly a unique and wonderful opportunity for the kids to experience. A personal highlight of the showcase was meeting the other InvenTeams from across the nation and seeing their innovative creations. EurekaFest constantly gave students something to learn, whether through lectures or presentations or design challenges with other kids. Everyone here at Concord will surely never forget the fun and inspiration we achieved in those three days.
The presentation went off without a hitch, and our audience of students, mentors, teachers, professors, and inventors showed genuine appreciation for our invention. It felt good to see respected MIT associates impressed with our work, and rightly so. The showcase was also successful, reaching out to a wide array of like-minded engineers.

Lastly, one of our more eccentric team members compiled a montage of our work on the InvenTeam over the course of the past few months. No words can quite describe it.
What a year. This may be the last update from the Concord InvenTeam in a while, thanks for reading along with us.

Words cannot express the excitement and anticipation for tomorrow. The team has worked so hard these past few months, and it is finally time to show everyone at MIT what we've done! All that is left standing between us and EurekaFest is a 6 hour car ride crammed in a van. EurekaFest here we come!

The plow kept hitting the conveyor belt when it deployed.

So we decided to install wheels on it to smoothly and consistently roll across without catching the belt.
